Manifesto

There are a lot of enthusiastic programmers who work to make the world better by creating and maintaining open source software which have an important role in our world nowadays. Also, in each category of software we can find multiple open source solution available, you can check Wikipedia's list of open source software to see this fact.

We belive that open source community is doing well but need more innovation in users' perspective. We think open source software will be better and better if new creative and modern features are introduced and the traditional way of presenting a specific kind of software is bypassed, they need new evolutionary ideas that change the category of the software forever. A good example of that is Upterm which is unfortunately unmaintained now.

We try in LinuxModernism to help in this goal, the mechanism is simple, if you have a good idea that you think it should be there in some specific category of software (e.g. Office Suite) you can share it in LinuxModernism, enthusiastic programmers who would like to create a new open source software or contrinbute to an existing one can view the list of ideas and implement them in the real world.
